Ingredients

  • 450 gram Raw - Potato
  • 1 second spray Cooking Spray
  • 0.5 tsp Salt

Method

  1. Clean the potatoes.
  2. Cut them into your preferred thickness such as quarter-inch thick slices. Using a Mandoline makes the job easier, but ALWAYS use the guard!
Optional Step - Please Don't Skip!
  1. This is a step that makes your fries crispier without adding extra calories. Potatoes have excess starch, removing that starch makes them crispier.
  2. Dip or rinse the cut potatoes in water.
  3. Add water to a big bowl and let the cut potatoes soak for at least 15 minutes for up to 6 hours. If you soak them longer than 30 minutes, put the bowl into the fridge.
  4. Drain and remove excess moisture from the potatoes.
Seasoning and fry time
  1. Add into a large bowl and quickly spray with cooking spray.
  2. Add seasonings and mix.
Air Fryer - Recommended
  1. Depending on your air fryer, preheat it to 380. Mine is almost instant and does not require preheating.
  2. Line the potatoes into the air fryer in a single layer.
  3. Bake for 15-20 minutes until browned and crispy. If your air fryer requires it, stop halfway and flip the potatoes. My air fryer does not require this step due to its moving air technology.
Oven
  1. Preheat the oven to 375 F.
  2. 375 F for around 15 minutes
  3. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and place the potatoes in a single layer.
  4. Let cook for 15 minutes, then flip them around.
  5. Increase the temperature to 425 F and let cook an additional 10 minutes.
