Ingredients

  • 170 gram Raw Shrimp, Peeled, Tail-off
  • 7 gram Chipotle Peppers In Adobo Sauce
  • 0.25 teaspoon Ground Black Pepper
  • 0.5 teaspoon paprika
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 5 ml/gram Lime juice (1 teaspoon)

Method

  1. Finely chop the chipotle pepper with adobo sauce. Add chipotle peppers, lime, and spices in a bowl.
  2. Toss the shrimp in spice mix and let marinate for 30 minutes.
Pan-fried:
  1. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat, add shrimp and cook until they are done, about 2-3 minutes on each side.
  2. Heat a large heavy-duty or cast-iron skillet on high heat for 2 minutes. Remove shrimp from marinade. Add shrimp to pan; sauté 3 minutes or until thoroughly cooked.
BBQ:
  1. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Thread shrimp on skewers and grill them for about 2 minutes per side.
Oven:
  1. Preheat oven to 400 F. Line a sheet pan with parchment paper or aluminum foil. Add shrimp and cook in the preheated oven for about 5 minutes or until shrimp are done.
  2. Serve topped with freshly chopped cilantro, crushed red pepper, and a squeeze of lime.

Notes

Be careful to not overcook them as shrimp cook quickly. They will turn pink and form a loose C shape when they are done. If they start curling to a tighter O shape they are overcooked.
