Method
- Bring a large pot with water to boil. Add a dash of salt.
- Chop broccoli into smaller pieces, use the leaves and stems.
- Add broccoli to the boiling water. Let boil rapidly under a lid for 6-8 minutes.
- Strain the water, but keep a small amount in case you want to make the puree thinner.
- Mash the broccoli to a puree consistency with a blender that tolerates heat, an immersion blender, or by hand with a potato masher. Add salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve with Tabasco and lime juice.
