Ingredients

  • 450 gram Chicken Breast
  • 1 spray Cooking Spray
Spice Mix
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika spice
  • 1 teaspoon Chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian Seasoning
  • 0.5 teaspoon Cumin Spice
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt

Equipment

  • 1 Air fryer

Method

Prepare the Chicken:
  1. Butterfly the chicken breasts by slicing them horizontally to create two thinner pieces from each breast. This helps them cook more evenly in the air fryer.
Make the Spice Mix:
  1. In a small bowl, combine the paprika, chili powder, Italian seasoning, cumin, black pepper, and salt. Mix well.
Season the Chicken:
  1. Sprinkle the spice mix evenly over both sides of the butterflied chicken breasts. Rub the spices into the chicken to ensure they are well coated.
Preheat the Air Fryer:
  1. Preheat your air fryer to 380°F (190°C) for about 3-5 minutes.
Cook the Chicken:
  1. Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray to prevent sticking.
  2. Place the seasoned chicken breasts in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Ensure they are not overlapping for even cooking.
  3. Air fry the chicken breasts for 10-12 minutes, flipping them halfway through the cooking time. The internal temperature should reach 165°F (74°C) when done.
Serve:
  1. Once cooked, remove the chicken breasts from the air fryer and let them rest for a few minutes before serving.
