Prepare the Chicken:
- Butterfly the chicken breasts by slicing them horizontally to create two thinner pieces from each breast. This helps them cook more evenly in the air fryer.
Make the Spice Mix:
- In a small bowl, combine the paprika, chili powder, Italian seasoning, cumin, black pepper, and salt. Mix well.
Season the Chicken:
- Sprinkle the spice mix evenly over both sides of the butterflied chicken breasts. Rub the spices into the chicken to ensure they are well coated.
Preheat the Air Fryer:
- Preheat your air fryer to 380°F (190°C) for about 3-5 minutes.
Cook the Chicken:
- Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray to prevent sticking.
- Place the seasoned chicken breasts in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Ensure they are not overlapping for even cooking.
- Air fry the chicken breasts for 10-12 minutes, flipping them halfway through the cooking time. The internal temperature should reach 165°F (74°C) when done.
Serve:
- Once cooked, remove the chicken breasts from the air fryer and let them rest for a few minutes before serving.
