Tofu Tacos

Tofu Taco’s

TTT, Tofu Taco Tuesday. Tofu contains all the amino acids your body needs. After a lot of debate and research, heart.org has published that "those eating at least one serving of tofu a week had an 18% lower risk of heart disease compared with those who rarely ate tofu."
To get a more taco-like texture, add 30 grams of finely chopped mushroom per serving.

Ingredients
  

  • 200 gram firm tofu
  • 30 gram onion
  • 60 gram tomato sauce
  • 15 gram/ml lime juice
  • 5 gram chipotle peppers in adobo sauce
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 0.5 teaspoon paprika
  • 0.5 teaspoon cumin
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper

Method
 

  1. Press the tofu
  2. Crumble tofu and chop onions.
  3. Finely puree or add chipotle peppers to a mini food processor.
  4. Add the tofu and the onions to the skillet and let cook for 4-5 minutes.
  5. Add spices, tomato sauce, chipotle peppers, and lime into the skillet. Cook another 2 minutes.

Notes

Serve in taco shells or mini tortillas. Top with your favorite taco toppings,
