Pasta Sauce

Basic Pasta Sauce

Basic Pasta sauce. Upgrade it with chopped onion or other vegetables.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 clove Garlic 1 clove
  • 1 can (28oz) Organic Crushed Tomatoes 794 g
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 2 teaspoon Italian Seasoning 2 tsp

Method
 

  1. Heat a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Spray with cooking spray. Add minced garlic to the skillet and cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  3. Stir in the canned diced tomatoes and seasonings.
  4. Reduce the heat to low and let the sauce simmer for 20-25 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it thickens slightly and the flavors meld together.
  5. While the sauce is simmering, cook your pasta according to package instructions until al dente.
  6. Once the sauce is done, taste and adjust seasoning if needed. If you prefer a smoother sauce, you can use an immersion blender or transfer it to a blender to puree until smooth.
  7. Serve the sauce over cooked pasta and garnish with fresh chopped basil leaves.
