Inside-out Cheeseburger

Cheese Stuffed Burgers

Stuffed Burgers with melted cheese in the center.
Can be made using ground turkey, ground chicken, or plant-based ground instead of ground beef.

Ingredients
  

  • 453 gram Lean Ground Beef I use 93% Lean 7% Fat
  • 4 slices of thin cheese I use Sargento – Ultra Thin
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp pepper

Method
 

  1. Combine everything except the cheese without overmixing the ingredients
  2. Shape into 8 thin patties
  3. Cut each cheese slice into 4 pieces
  4. Place a total of one cheese slice on a patty, cover with another patty. Gently seal the edges closed
  5. Repeat for remaining patties
  6. Pan-fry or grill the patties for about 4 minutes on each side.
  7. Serve in a lettuce wrap or your favorite burger bread.

Notes

For extra volume make the patties with chopped mushroom, bell pepper, or other veggies.
Each serving cost $1.84 and provides  26 grams of protein.
